Fans were awestruck with the singer’s down-to-earth persona and posed for selfies as he made them very comfortable
Singer Shaan, best known as the voice of the ’90s, was in the city on Friday as part of the ALIVE India Concert series. The event, in collaboration with Pune Mirror, offered a special opportunity for fans to meet the singer in person for Koffee with Shaan, an interactive session with the singer.
Two lucky readers, Mukesh Bhansal and his family and Nihar Mayekar, had an opportunity to meet the singer before the concert and spend a few minutes chatting and taking selfies with him. The ardent fans were visibly star-struck by the artist and even remarked on his down-to-earth personality, as he offered everyone chips and coffee, “I am a huge fan of Shaan and to actually meet him in person is amazing,” gushed Bhansal.
It was this opportunity to interact with fans on a personal level that inspired Shaan to sign up with the ALIVE Concert series. “I love doing live shows because you can perform your own music, in its most pure form and, more importantly, it gives you a platform to directly interact with your audience,” said the 43- year-old artist. The series kicked off in Pune and will be going to other cities later this month.
